How to Use the Calculator
- Enter Current Setup: Input your current mouse DPI and use the slider to select your Windows Pointer Speed (WPS). Your eDPI (effective DPI) is calculated automatically.
- Enter New Setup: You have two options:
- To find a new WPS, enter your New DPI and leave the "New Windows Speed" slider as is.
- To find a new DPI, adjust the New Windows Speed slider to your desired setting and leave the "New DPI" field blank.
- Game Sensitivity (Optional): If you want to convert your in-game sensitivity, enter your current value.
- Calculate: Click the "Calculate" button. The results will appear below, showing the calculated values needed to maintain your sensitivity.
Tips for Optimal Sensitivity
- Disable Pointer Precision: For consistent tracking, always disable "Enhance pointer precision" in Windows mouse settings. This feature adds mouse acceleration, which is bad for muscle memory.
- The 6/11 Rule: A WPS of 6/11 provides a 1:1 raw input ratio. This is the gold standard for competitive gaming as it offers the purest mouse input without any scaling.
- Understanding eDPI: Effective DPI (`DPI × WPS Multiplier`) is your "true" desktop sensitivity. This tool's primary goal is to keep this value consistent when you change settings.
- Game Sensitivity: Your in-game sensitivity is a final multiplier on top of your eDPI. To keep your aim consistent, if your eDPI doubles, your in-game sensitivity must be halved. Our tool does this math for you.
