About Rainbow Six Siege Sensitivity
Rainbow Six Siege has a unique and powerful sensitivity system that sets it apart from other shooters. Your hip-fire aim is controlled by a simple 1-100 slider, but the real depth comes from its Aim Down Sights (ADS) settings. Unlike games with a single ADS slider, Siege allows you to customize the sensitivity for every scope magnification, from 1.0x Holo sights to 12.0x sniper scopes.
This tool makes it easy to convert your sensitivity from other popular FPS games like Valorant or CS:GO into the equivalent Siege hip-fire value. More importantly, it calculates the precise ADS values you need to achieve a true 1:1 feel across all scopes, ensuring your muscle memory for small mouse movements remains perfectly consistent whether you're hip-firing or aiming through a high-powered scope. This gives you a significant competitive advantage.
How to Use This Converter
- Select Your Game: Choose the game you are converting your sensitivity FROM.
- Enter Your Settings: Input your mouse DPI and the in-game sensitivity you use in that game.
- Get Your Hip-fire Sens: The tool will instantly show you the equivalent hip-fire sensitivity to use in Rainbow Six Siege.
- Choose ADS Method: Select "Standard" for the default in-game scaling or "Advanced" for custom multipliers.
- Apply ADS Values: The tool will display the perfect ADS values for each scope. In Siege, go to Options > Controls > ADS Sensitivity, turn it to "Advanced", and input each value.
Tips for Siege Sensitivity
- Understanding the Multiplier: In your `GameSettings.ini` file, there's a setting called `MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit`. This tool assumes it's at the default of `0.002`. Most players should not change this.
- What is `XFactorAiming`? This is another setting in the config file that affects ADS sens. The "Standard" ADS option in-game is essentially a simplified version of this. For full control, use the "Advanced" in-game settings this calculator provides.
- "Standard" vs. "Advanced" ADS: Using the "Standard" setting in Siege makes all scopes feel progressively slower as you zoom in. Using the "Advanced" values from this calculator creates a 1:1 feel, which many find more consistent for building muscle memory.
- Start and Adjust: Use the values from this calculator as your perfect starting point. Play a few rounds of Terrorist Hunt or the Shooting Range to see how it feels, and make tiny adjustments if necessary.
