About R6 ADS Sensitivity

Rainbow Six Siege has one of the most complex sensitivity systems in any shooter. After a major update, the old single "ADS Sensitivity" slider was replaced with "Standard" and "Advanced" modes, with a separate slider for every scope magnification. This caused a lot of confusion, as players' old settings no longer felt right.

This tool is designed to solve that problem completely. First, it converts your hip-fire sensitivity from another game (like Valorant or CS2) into the correct R6 value. Then, it provides the precise "Advanced" ADS values for every scope. These numbers aren't random; they are the community-tested values required to achieve a perfect 1:1 monitor distance match. This means your aim feels identical and predictable, whether you're using a 1x Holo sight or a 5.0x scope, giving you a huge advantage in consistency.

How to Use This Converter

  1. Convert Hip-fire: Select the game you are converting from, enter its sensitivity and your mouse DPI. The tool will give you your new R6 Hip-Fire sensitivity.
  2. Set Hip-fire in R6: Go to Options -> Controls in Siege and set your Mouse Sensitivity (Horizontal & Vertical) to this new value.
  3. Set Advanced ADS: In the same menu, scroll down to "ADS Sensitivity" and select the "Advanced" option.
  4. Enter Scope Values: Carefully enter each value from the results table into the corresponding scope slider in the game (1.0x, 1.5x, 2.0x, etc.).

Tips for a Flawless Setup

  • Forget "Standard" Mode: The in-game "Standard" ADS mode is a simple slider that doesn't provide true 1:1 aiming. For the best consistency, always use "Advanced" mode with the values from this calculator.
  • Set Multiplier to Default: In your game files, ensure the `MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit` is set to the default of `0.02`. This tool assumes you haven't changed this value.
  • Disable Mouse Acceleration: In your Windows mouse settings, make sure "Enhance pointer precision" is turned OFF to prevent inconsistent aim.
