About Overwatch 2 Sensitivity

In Overwatch 2, your aim is defined by two key numbers: your mouse DPI and your in-game sensitivity. Multiplying these together gives you your eDPI (effective Dots Per Inch), the single most important value for comparing your true sensitivity with other players. Another useful metric is cm/360°, which tells you the physical distance you need to move your mouse to do a full 360-degree turn in-game.

For heroes like Widowmaker, Ashe, and Ana, there's an extra layer of complexity: the "Relative Aim Sensitivity While Zoomed" setting. Finding the right value is crucial for building consistent muscle memory between your hip-fire and scoped aim. This calculator provides the community-accepted values for a true 1:1 feel, helping you land those critical shots.

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter Your DPI and Sensitivity: Input your mouse's DPI setting and your current in-game sensitivity from Overwatch 2's options.
  2. Check Your eDPI and cm/360°: The tool will instantly calculate your eDPI and the physical distance for a 360° turn. You can use these values to compare your sensitivity with professional players or friends.
  3. Find Your Scoped Sensitivity: Select a hero (Widowmaker/Ashe or Ana) from the dropdown menu.
  4. Apply in Game: The tool will display the recommended "Relative Aim Sensitivity While Zoomed" value. Enter this number into the hero-specific settings in Overwatch 2 for pixel-perfect 1:1 aim.

Tips for Finding Your Perfect Aim

  • Average eDPI: Most professional players use an eDPI between 3,000 and 6,000. If you are far outside this range, you might consider adjusting your settings.
  • The 37.89% Magic Number: For Widowmaker and Ashe, a scoped sensitivity of 37.89% ensures that the speed of your crosshair matches your unscoped sensitivity for small, precise adjustments. It's the most widely used value for a reason.
  • Ana is Different: Ana has a lower zoom level than Widowmaker and Ashe. To get the same 1:1 feel, she requires a higher value, calculated to be around 51.47%.
  • Consistency is Key: Once you find a sensitivity that feels comfortable, stick with it! Constantly changing your settings will prevent you from developing consistent muscle memory.
